Update on BFS Review Timelines

Hey All - We appreciate your dedication to building with us. We recognize that some of you have experienced longer-than-usual wait times for app reviews recently.

This is due in part to the introduction of our annual renewals, updates to the app design guidelines earlier this year, and more app submissions.

Rest assured, we’re actively working to streamline our review process and reduce wait times. Your patience means a lot to us as we work through this.

To help us move faster, please also ensure that all review feedback has been addressed before resubmitting your app.

FAQs

  • Can I make updates to my app while I’m waiting for the BFS review? → Yes
  • I’m a current BFS app but my renewal grace period is ending and I’m still in queue. Will I lose the badge? → No
  • What are the common reasons for getting rejected? → Not reviewing some of the failure examples on the requirements
  • What happens if I resubmit without addressing previous feedback? → We have a central review team that looks at past feedback, so you will still be requested to address this, which may cause your application process to take longer.

Thank you for your patience. We’re currently looking into the queue to identify ways to improve the workflow.

One aspect that would greatly help is reviewing the requirements in detail and addressing the feedback before resubmitting.

The team is continually clarifying the guidelines as we encounter more applications. Appreciate the support!
