Urgent - more controls needed for new receipt editor

Hi POS team,

In our app, we provide merchants with the ability to create custom food and drink items. Each custom item is bundled with the main food / drink item, along with all of its options (modifiers). Merchants rely on this process so that they can track modifier inventory, reporting, etc.

However, this approach can cause extremely long receipts. In the previous receipt editor, we provided custom liquid to merchants so that they could hide the bundle items from the receipt, which made for much shorter and tider receipts for customers.

Since the rollout of the new receipt editor, we have been receiving urgent messages from merchants who have upgraded to the new receipt editor, who now have extremely long receipts.

I’m wondering if it would be possible to please please add the following controls to the line items (Content) block in the receipt editor as soon as possible:

  • Show / Hide bundle items
  • Show / Hide line item properties

This would be extremely helpful for our merchants.

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know merchants are having this issue. I’ve reported this internally to the team that built the receipt editor so they can consider adding those functionalities.
