Using Pabbly Connect to Add a Shopify Customer to Thrivecart Learn

I am trying to create an automation that adds a Shopify customer to my course platform ThriveCart Learn. The only problem is that when it comes to mapping the data in Pabbly Connect, the customer name and email are not showing up. I have the same automation set up in Zapier now, and it works. For customer information in Shopify, I have tried it with email or phone number, and neither works. Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong or how I can fix it? Thanks!

Hi Heather,

How is the data being sent from Shopify to the course platform? It’s possible that the the service/app syncing data doesn’t have the read_customers scope correctly configured which would prevent the app from querying and migrating data related to customers.

Currently, I have Zapier connecting Shopify to Thrivecart Learn, but I want to use Pabbly Connect, and that is where the mapping problem is. This might be over my head because Zapier was a pretty hard set up, Pabbly has the automation though.

Do you know if the Zapier app has the read_customers scope set up correctly for your store?

It’s working and pulling in the correct information so I would assume that is right, HAHA! It was a trickier process.

So it is pulling in the customer info, including names?

It sure is! First and last name. I just checked. Here is a screenshot if that helps.

So the problem is with Pabbly connect?

Yes, unfortunetly, it’s less expensive so I was trying to switch since they have a connection for it.

I’m thinking this app doesn’t have the right scopes for reading customer data from your store. Did you connect with their team to see if they’re seeing any errors on their side?

Well there is the issue. I don’t have a paid account so I can’t really get help, but I may go back to them and say I may buy if you can do this!

Thank you!

Heather
