Yes, it was more of this that I was wondering. Having seen the delay/extended timescale threads already. It was more the app review seemingly starting and then the status changing back to waiting to be assigned to a reviewer that is confusing. The lack of communication isn’t helping.
In my opinion, Shopify is missing a huge opportunity to build a strong developer ecosystem around its platform. They are handling the rise of AI poorly, with long review times that are burning out app developers and creating a negative atmosphere within the Shopify community. I hope they step up and address this soon.
Hi @Nayeem88 - no, not as yet. The status has changed 3 times to ‘We’re reviewing your submission—check your email for updates’ however it seemingly keeps getting reviewed by different agents and changes back to the original ‘Being assigned’ after a couple of days. I can see the app had been installed on 3 different Shopify testing stores, aligning with the status changes.
I’ve received no email comms at all in this time period since the original submission on 26th Feb. Which I think is the most frustrating part. Delays are understandable, but poor communication and lack of clarity isn’t.
@Ashh115 I understand and yes I totally agree with you, the review/support team don’t know what is happening with the app and how much time it will take for the next steps. We are also going through the same sort of situation for our 2nd app. It’s been more than 4 weeks now.
