App stuck on "Assigning a reviewer" since March 25

Hi everyone,

I submitted my app for review on March 25, 2026 and have been on “We’re assigning a reviewer to your submission” ever since, now 20 days with no update or change in status.

Why this is time-sensitive not only for me: I have 10+ big merchants actively waiting (including Plus Merchants) to install this app. They’ve signed up, they’re ready, and they are waiting alongside me. Every day in the queue is a day they’re running their stores without a solution they’ve already committed to.

I’ve read @MarkT’s post about the current backlog and I fully understand the situation. I just want to flag this publicly and ask:

  • Is there any way to get a status update beyond what the Partner Dashboard shows?

  • Is there any way to push the review faster when showing the quantity of merchants who are waiting for the app?

I’ve reviewed the app myself multiple times against all requirements. Everything should be in place, to pass the review in first try.

Happy to provide any additional context to help the review move faster.

Some of us have been waiting for 6-7 weeks,
we have been waiting since February 26th, and we also have stores waiting.

We need to get more speed into this process! Have you received a review since your initial submission, or are you still awaiting your first review?

yes the reviewer was assigned on April 6th and marked two minor errors, fixed immediately, resent on April 7th, still no news at the moment

Maybe because of AI
they fired a lot of reviewers and replaced them with AI
and the aftermath

I have resorted to leaving a negative review on the Play Store as a way of getting a response.
