I submitted some apps since a month already, for been in the shhopify app store since 2020 i always submit MVP of my apps to make reviewers work easy and i respect all rules and i know my review won’t even take many days
However, it’s been a month since apps are submitted and yet no reviewer has been assigned
i created a post to talk about it here and it was closed without even let me talk, asking me to go use the AI while waiting knowing that it’s not even available for submitted apps and as i say even when i used it in my code base it’ gave me a perfect score that don’t speed up anything if no reviewer is still not assigned after a month. and honestly this is frustrating.
i was expecting to wait as it’s said that timiline incresed now, but i thought it was something like 3 weeks, but it’s been a month already still no reviewer assigned;
i contacted 3 times the support already
they claimed to have flaged the app and will assign someone immediatelly
nothing happened in 10 days
i also contacted Liam for help and nothing happened
Im in same situation as you, contacted many times to support and only extends they only put a date in advance, first time told me 14 days, second time 30 days, when 30 days are completed tell me 40 days. Its really frustrating, i make a post as you and the close it so i dont really know what to do as you. Im send to review the app at the end of march and still not reviewer asigned too. I know they had a lot of volume but by our side it is difficult to manage timelines with our costumers because of the situation
40 days is insane, the sad part is others apps may be big apps submitted by vibe coders, not knowing they could submit MVP to make things easy for everyone, and that impact everyone even partners with their clean MVP
Yes i understand you, by my side 8 month developing everything to wait that much now. They told me that the maximum time an application can go without being assigned to a reviewer is currently 40 days, but since you’re already at that point, I’m not sure if that’s actually true. And that I could expect to be assigned a reviewer within 10 days, since the app that had been waiting the longest was 40 days and I’ve been waiting 31. He told me I had at most the last 25% of the waiting time left. But since they don’t provide any data, timelines, queue position, or anything else, you don’t know if it’s a lie or not. Because weeks ago they told me a maximum of 23–30 days, and I’ve already passed 30, and you’re at 40…
i understand mat,one tip for you i understand you passed 8 months building your app, but i’ll recommend to not submit the finished version to review but the MVP and clean listing with app screensho with no marketing term that talk to reviewer not customers, this will make things easier for you once the review start. or it will start and you’ll spend a lot of time again, and then they will ask for a change and the queueing loop will look infinite for you.
i think if you got them right once reviewer is assigned things should be easier
Ah ok thanks for your help. In your experience when the reviewer is assignes the procces and responses are faster? They told me that by the support chat, id ont know if its true or if is the same timings as the reviewer assigned process
I get an answer today, eveything was clean,but i got rejected just to ask me to provide explanation about why i need access to “all_orders_scopes” where i clearly mentionned that i have an analyics features anf if users using the app since 6 monhs need to fetch her sales all orders scopes is needed.
Yeah i got rejected due to that and back in the end of the queue just for that after 1 month waiting
We were also delayed by a bug after waiting for over a month. Now that the issue has been fixed, the status is back to “submitted,” and the long waiting process has started again.
Really, I would be more than happy to help them to be honest, or maybe they could make an announcement to ask developers o submit MVP, not complex app or something i don’t know
i miss 2021 when things used to take 3 days max
