We’ve noticed recently that when we request collaborator access to our customers’ stores the finance related collaborator permissions get dropped. In particular “View billing details” and “View payouts” gets dropped. The store owner can add those permissions in manually after they’ve approved the collaboration, but this isn’t a good customer experience for us.
Has anyone else experienced this, is this a known bug, is there a workaround, and/or will this be fixed?
Hi @allistar This is related to the Shopify changelog on November 11 - Released delegatable billing permissions. I think this is new bug and need to be fixed.
Thanks. That changelog entry is nearly 11 months old. We’ve noticed this behaviour only in the last few weeks.
View payouts is actually a pretty new permission, released July 7 as part of this changelog entry, so it might just not be wired into the collaborator request flow yet. Doesn’t explain View billing details dropping too though, since that one’s been around much longer. I’d flag both to Partner Support since neither looks intended.
