First app review: responded to review feedback, but status still shows “Reviewed”. Do I need to do anything else?

Hello!

This is my first app review process, so I just wanted to make sure I’m handling things correctly.

I submitted my first Shopify app for review on February 24.

On March 20, I received an email from the review team with 2 required changes. I fixed both issues within about 2 hours and replied to that same email with a detailed explanation of what we updated.

At this point, is there anything else I need to do from my side?

Right now, the app still shows as Reviewed in the Partner Dashboard, so I’m not sure whether:

  • I should just wait for the next response from the review team
  • there is another step I need to complete
  • or if I need to resubmit anything manually

Since this is my first submission, I’d really appreciate any clarification on the expected next step in the process.

Thanks in advance.

Just wanted to share a quick update: about 2 minutes after posting this, our app was published. :tada:
I’m really happy and excited to have our first launch on the Shopify App Store.
Thanks a lot!

Hey @onurhan, glad to hear that your app is live! Care to share the link here so I can take a look?

For anyone else who finds this thread, our documentation here outlines how we will contact you during the review process: Submit your app for review

Typically when there critical requirements missed or major changes to be made then your app will go back to draft. In cases like this where there are a few minor changes to get it across the line then our review team will reach out by email to work with you through email to get that done.

Thanks a lot, @KyleG-Shopify! Really appreciate your message and the clarification.

Here’s my app link: https://apps.shopify.com/outranked

Overall, Shopify was very supportive throughout the process. I only received one round of revision requests, and after I made those updates, everything moved forward smoothly.

Since this was my first App Store submission, I was naturally a bit unsure about the flow at first, so I really appreciated how clear and responsive the review process was.

Thanks again for the support!

Very cool app Onurhan! I like how you’ve added products with certain tags to be excluded. I would imagine a lot of merchants may want certain products (pre-orders, or popular products that use capture when in stock forms) want to keep some near the top!

Thanks a lot, @KyleG-Shopify! Really appreciate it.

Yes, exactly. It looks like a small thing, but it can make a real difference in both sales and customer experience. I’ve seen this issue in many Shopify stores, so I wanted to build something practical around it for merchants.

I also knew some merchants may want to keep certain out-of-stock products visible, like pre-orders or featured items, so I added tag-based exclusions for more flexibility.

With auto sorting, exclusions, and notifications, the goal was to make collection management smoother and easier.

Thanks again for taking a look. It means a lot to me :raising_hands:
