Shopify review delay - taken over 20 days!

We submitted our app for review over 20 days ago and are still waiting to hear back. I understand reviews can take time, but I’m starting to get concerned it may have gotten stuck somewhere in the process.

Has anyone else experienced similar delays recently? Would appreciate any tips—or if a Shopify community manager sees this, we’d be grateful for any help in checking on the status.

To make sure your app is still in review, I would double check your partner dashboard to make sure it’s still showing as in review (I’ve seen before where it wasn’t noticed that there were still steps).

I would also double check all of your email (including your account owner email, the app review email from your app settings and the emergency developer email). Often times our app review team will reply with clarification, but if that email is missed it can look like it’s stuck.

Hey Kyle, appreciate your response. I see that my App Store review status is “Submitted.” Also confirming that we haven’t receive any emails. Should I be worried that the status is only “Submitted” and not something like “In Review” ?

Hey Justin. It does seem a little long, but depending on the queue of our review team if you haven’t heard anything and it’s submitted, it should still be in the queue.
