Hiya ,
There’s not really a good fit for the category, so bear with..
About 5 years ago, we removed a user from our partner account (company merger) - however, within the Shopify Admin and users for one client it’s still showing the old email address.
Why is this a problem? Well I’m often having to ask clients to update our permissions.. i.e. the current trend is asking them to add Customer Events into permissions
However I never actually know what email address is going to show in the users, it seems to be completely random on which one it chooses from our partner account - and in this case it’s using an ancient email address which is no longer in our account!
I feel like this should be refreshed/change each time we login? So i.e. the partner user shows the last logged in users email address (that has access to the partner account).
Alternatively.. and hear me out - allow Partner users to request new permissions or permission changes through the Shopify Admin and have a similar notification show for new user requests.
Whereby the store owner simply says yes/no to the request
Permissions on Shopify are to be frank a tad complex, especially with the whole roles aspect - it’s fine for us, but for our non-technical clients they really struggle and it’s often an timely task to get them to just add one new permission. We could ask them to add us as a staff account, but not all of them are on Plus - so staff account slots are limited.
Thanks in advance.
Happy to DM the bugged store in question too
