We have a merchant with multiple locations / devices on Shopify POS 11.1.1 who is suddenly facing this issue on a subset of their devices. When they try to re-add the tile, they are unable to do so. Our extension is using api version 2025-04.
We ourselves cannot reproduce the issue and have not received any other tickets on this.
In our experience this has to do with some combination of Shopify POS or Shopify Admin user permissions and potentially remotely adding the tiles without the right permissions, but it’s challenging for us to help them troubleshoot.
Can anyone help us point them in the right direction? And if it is indeed permissions related, can the POS team update the language of the errors to be more specific?
