Questions about 2,000 Variants

Hi,

I have been waiting to launch my store for the 2,000 variants beta to launch. I was wondering:

  1. When is this planning to launch?
  2. Is it possible to be added to the beta in the meantime?

I don’t have a Shopify Plus account unfortunately… :frowning: but I am on one of the monthly plans.

I contacted support to see if I could be added to 2,000 variants beta and they submitted a form for it but I’m not sure how that process works.

Hi FrozenFury,

The 2K Variants beta is not live yet - I can’t speak to the submission process you completed when you contacted support, but General Availability for 2K variants is coming in 2025.

Will it go GA on Feb 1, 2025 after the API deadline is passed?

There’s no specific date available right now for GA.

Any updates to this? 2025 is fast passing us by. We have a client who is now waiting on this update based on a solution we started building for him using a developer preview store early in the year. At the moment the main holdup now is the GA rollout for this feature. Is there any way to know whether we will get this feature in the next few months?
