Hi everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well.
I wanted to share our situation to see if anyone else is going through something similar or has found a way to handle it.
We’ve developed a custom app to connect Shopify stores with our logistics warehouse. It’s not a public app — it’s only used by our own clients — but it still needs to go through the review process.
We submitted it on March 30th, and after more than a month, we still haven’t received any update or been assigned a reviewer.
We understand that reviews can take time and that there’s a high volume of submissions, so this isn’t about that. The issue for us is the current situation it creates operationally.
We’ve been working with Shopify for over 8 years and have around 500 stores connected to our warehouse. Since private apps are no longer an option, this new app is now the only way for us to connect stores.
Right now, we are not able to connect any new store at all until the app is approved.
This means we’re completely blocked from onboarding clients, which is becoming a serious issue for our operations and for the businesses that rely on our service.
I’d really appreciate hearing if anyone has been in a similar situation during this transition, and how you managed it while waiting for the review. And if there is any way to do something or whatever to improve times i will appreciate to know. We have, of course, followed all the best practices for app reviews
Thanks a lot in advance ![]()
