Tile keeps disappearing on development

In development on Android (CLI v3.87.4, POS v10.15.1), the POS tile that gets added onto the grid after scanning the QR code from the dev console keeps disappearing. This occurs after UI says “smart grid updated”, even when the extension has not been updated.

Rescanning the QR code does not make it reappear. This is only fixed when the POS app is closed completely and reopened.

We have been updating our apps, the issue is really getting to me in development. I do not have the iOS version to test if this also happens there. I remember this started happening around the same time as the move to the dev dashboard.

I have a couple of clarifying questions to help troubleshoot the issue:

  • Is the problem occurring after you background the POS app or let your device sleep?

  • Or, does it happen even when the POS app remains open and active in the foreground?

I thought about this but this seems to happen even when the screen is left on (the POS app was never locked).
