BFS Failed to execute 'removeChild' on 'Node' error when adding POS tile from Shopify Admin

I’m applying for built for Shopify status on my app. One of the feedback items was the following:

  1. 4.1.1 Follow UX best practices: The user interface of your app must be polished and functional. Please ensure that the app’s content and UI are clear, free of bugs, and follow UX best practices. See the following for details:

    - There is an application error when attempting to add the app to POS. See this screenshot for details.

This was the screenshot posted:

I can’t recreate this issue locally or in production. Surely this is an issue with the testers environment (judging also by the fact that the Start quick count app also isn’t working). I cannot reply to email, or make any comments when I request a re-review. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?

Also, with the new POS smart grid editor in Shopify Admin, when we toggle our apps (like in the screenshot above) is it supposed to add the tile to the grid? As this isn’t happening, instead I have to manually add the embedded app tile from the page settings.

Thanks!

Hey @21O - thanks for flagging, I’m seeing some more reports of this popping up internally, I’ll dig into this for you and loop back with next steps once I have more info.

Thanks Alan. I’ve mentioned in my apps installation notes that I believe it’s a system error, not an app error. Hopefully it doesn’t fail again because of it!

Hey @21O - we’ve shipped a fix for this on our end, if the reviewer sees the same thing, could you just ping me here and I’ll reach out to some folks internally for you?

Apologies for the wait and for the initial issue. Let me know if I can help with anything else on my end here.

Thank you @Alan_G! I’ll let you know if they run into the error again.
