Second App Review Pending for 7+ Weeks Total After Fixes (Reference #103613)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask whether other partners are currently experiencing extremely long wait times specifically for second-round app reviews.

My current situation:

Original app submission was over 7 weeks ago

The first review was completed around 3 weeks ago

The review team raised 4 issues during the first review

All issues were fully resolved and the updated version was resubmitted immediately

Since then, the app has remained in “Submitted” status waiting for the second review

No reviewer assignment, no additional feedback, and no visible progress in the Partner Dashboard

The original review feedback included:

Billing / managed pricing flow fixes

Pricing plan switching improvements

Removal of promotional content from admin extensions

Ensuring admin extensions were feature-complete

All requested changes were fully implemented, tested end-to-end, and resubmitted about 3 weeks ago.

I’ve already contacted Shopify Support multiple times and the case has now been escalated internally twice. Support confirmed that the escalation reached the App Review team, but they could not provide visibility into reviewer assignment or timeframe.

I completely understand that the App Review team is currently handling a high submission volume, and I genuinely appreciate the effort involved in maintaining quality standards for the App Store.

At the same time, a total waiting period of 7+ weeks — including roughly 3 weeks waiting for the second review after all fixes were submitted — is becoming increasingly difficult from a business perspective:

merchant onboarding is blocked

launch activities are delayed

development and support planning are effectively paused waiting for review completion

So I wanted to ask the community:

Are other partners currently seeing similar delays for second reviews?

Have escalations recently helped move things forward?

Has anyone seen movement after being stuck in “Submitted” status for multiple weeks?

Any insight or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
