This is how we were able to work with dev stores in the past (partner portal)
Developer within the organization creates a development store
Developers with access to all development stores and the specific development store can find the store and log in through the partner portal
How it works now:
Developer creates a development store in dev dashboard
Nobody else in the partner org can see the store
Developer who created the dev store is not able to add staff users to the store (which would require manually adding possibly dozens of people)
How it should work
Bring back development store permissions
User can have access to all current and future development stores
User can have access to stores they’ve created
That is all. Please stop ruining everyone work day with these half baked changes. It’s obvious that no developer was taken into account when rolling this out.
About 30 minutes after I created a dev store through the dev dashboard, I was suddenly able to invite staff users and colleborators. So at least it’s possible to share the store with the rest of the organization.
@Evaldas_Raisutis Feedback is heard loud and clear and we appreciate you sharing it bluntly. We agree that this needs to get better and we are actively working on bringing to Partners the ability to easily manage their staff and permissions. See this for more detail.
Thanks Eytan, glad to hear it’s being looked at. From agency perspective it’s of course frustrating when we have to spend time on issues like this as it’s time wasted.
